Is Murder Ever Funy?

It’s been a minute since I’ve found video compelling enough to post, but thanks to Boingboing.com it looks like that streak may finally be over. Not since the days of Wondershowzen (the short-lived, but brilliant show on MTV2) have I seen such a provocative and funny appropriation of hand puppets.

Based on the story of “America’s most prolific serial killer,” Henry Lee Lucas, creators Syd Garon and Rodney Ascher employ the never subtle, yet hilarious juxtaposition of sock puppets against the tragic and terrifying story that could have easily been the fodder for a MSNBC doc block exclusive. At times, you may find yourself chuckling at a case that has probably been the source of never-ending nightmares for the families of his victims. Does this make you a bad person? Yes it does. Enjoy!
